資訊教育是邁向未來資訊社會的重要措施,因此,「電腦素養」的培育是當前教育界格外應重視及努力的目標。
本研究主要探討目前國內有關小學資訊教育實施現況,包含一般國小、偏遠地區國小及師院資訊教育等概況。
計畫主要分為三大部份來探討;(一)國小 (高年級)學生電腦經驗及態度之調查研究。(二)偏遠地區國小資訊教育現況調查。(三)師範學院資訊教育之概況調查。研究所採用的調查工具係研究者參考國內外相關研究而分別自編的五份問卷,研究方法及結果分述如下:
(一)國小高年級學生電腦經驗及態度研究
民國七十九學年度下學期,總共有來自台北市、高雄市及臺灣省各縣市等二十一個行政區兩百三十一所小學的四千零二十三位國小高年級學童參與 「國民小學高年級學生電腦經驗及態度問卷調查研究」。研究結果發現低於一成的樣本表示其學校未開電腦方面的課程,其團體活動也未設有電腦組,12.4%的樣本曾學過電腦,5.4%的樣本正在學電腦,4.2%的樣本曾學過程式語言,8.5%的樣本曾學過如何便用套裝軟體程式,38.2%的樣本曾使用過電腦,41.6%的樣本曾玩過電腦遊戲,9.6%的樣本曾使用過電腦輔助教學軟體,72.5%的樣本表示其在學習電腦的過程中曾遭遇過困難,92.4%的樣本表示學習電腦無性別差異。
(二)偏遠地區國小資訊教育實施現況調查
本研究調查的對象為教育部改進國教第二期計畫專款補助之偏勇類國小校長及
教師,共有校長179人、教師1343人參與本研究。研究結果發現目前偏勇類國小已具
備較新型的電腦設備,但因未完全規畫妥當,故未能普遍使用,一般學校電腦設備
多半用於行政,普遍感覺缺乏適當的CAI軟體,故難以應用於教學,並建議予以教
師進修有關資訊科學的機會,以加強教師之電腦基本素養。
(三)師範學院資訊教育之概況調查
本研究調查之對象為九所師院的資訊科學教師及師院生。共有24位教師、527位
師院生參與研究。研究結果發現師院師生皆肯定資訊教育宜由小學開始推動,但以
目前課程之結構,無法予以師院生 (準小學教師)足夠之時間培育基本之電腦素養
及未來教學能力,建議至少兩有學期之有關電腦課程,而且宜有CAI之課程,以充
份發揮電腦對兒童學習的功用。
三部份研究結果及建議可作為關心國小資訊教育之人士對未來小學有關資訊教
育發展及師資培育工作之參考。
(二)偏遠地區國小資訊教育實施現況調查
本研究調查的對象為教育部改進國教第二期計畫專款補助之偏勇類國小校長及

份發揮電腦對兒童學習的功用。
三部份研究結果及建議可作為關心國小資訊教育之人士對未來小學有關資訊教
育發展及師資培育工作之參考。

英文摘要

Computer is the dramatic and visible symbol of this information revolution. Computer literacy becomes an important goal for all people in the 21st century.
The intent of this study was to examine the phenomena about computer education in elementary schools and teachers’ colleges. The purposes of this study were: (1) to investigate the elementary school students’ experiences with and attitudes toward computers; (2) to survey what and how the computer education developed in the rural elementary schools, (3) to study the computer education in teachers’ colleges. Five questionnaires were developed and used to obtain data in this study.
1. Elementary school students’ experiences with and attitudes toward computers.
In the spring of 1991, four thousand and twenty three fifth graders and sixth graders from two hundred and thirty one elementary schools in Taiwan, the Republic of China, participated in this study. The results showed that : (1) less than 10% of the subjects indicated their schools offered Computer courses or had computer clubs; (2) 12.4% and 5.4% of the subjects indicated that they had taken and were taking computer courses. 4.2% and 8.5% of the subjects indicated that they had learned to use programming languages and software packages; (3) 38.2% of the subjects had used computers; 41.6% of the subjects had played games on computers; while 9.6% of the subjects had used computer—assisted instruction coursewares; (4) 72. 5% of the subjects indicated that they had encountered difficulties while taking computer lessons; and (5) 92.4% of the subjects felt there was no sex differences in learning about computers.
2. Computer education in rural elementary schools.
One hundred and seventy—nine principals and thirteen hundred and forty-three teachers n the Taiwan rural elementary schools participated in this study. Findings showed that there were modern models of computers in these schools. However, lacking of thorough plans caused computers not widely used. In general, computers served as good instruments to assist administration tasks. There were few relevent CAT softwares to assist students’ learning. It is also suggested to provide more opportunites for teachers to learn computer information.
3. Computer education in teachers’ colleges.
Twenty-four teachers and five hundred and twenty-seven students participated in this research. The results illustrated that current curriculum hardly trained eligible teachers in order to help children learn computer literacy. The revision of curriculum is a main goal to make situations better. It was suggested that preservice elementary teachers should take CAl courses to meet the needs of future elementary computer education.
It was hoped that the results of this study would serve as a reference for educators and administrators to design the program of computer literacy for elementary education and teacher education.
